Vacancy Details
HTET is a teacher eligibility test and not a recruitment drive. It does not have fixed vacancies. Qualifying the test makes candidates eligible to apply for teaching posts in Haryana government and private schools when recruitment notifications are issued separately.

Selection Process
The HTET is conducted in offline mode using OMR answer sheets. Each level has a single paper of 150 multiple choice questions carrying 150 marks. The duration is 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking. General category candidates need 60 percent marks to qualify while SC and PwD candidates of Haryana domicile need 55 percent. Qualified candidates undergo biometric verification. The HTET certificate is valid for lifetime. Candidates can appear again to improve scores if desired.
