Vacancy Details
CTET is not a recruitment examination. It is an eligibility test conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in classes 1 to 8 in central government schools and other institutions that accept CTET scores. Selection Process
The CTET examination consists of two papers. Paper I is for candidates who intend to teach classes 1 to 5. Paper II is for candidates who intend to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 8 need to appear in both papers.
Each paper contains 150 multiple choice questions for 150 marks. The duration of each paper is 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking. Candidates need to score the minimum qualifying marks to be declared CTET qualified.
The CTET certificate is valid for lifetime. Qualifying candidates can apply for teaching posts in schools that accept CTET scores.
