The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has declared the UPTET Result 2026 on 26 August 2026. The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test was conducted on 2, 3 and 4 July 2026 across 955 centres in 60 districts in five shifts. Nearly 19.94 lakh candidates had registered for the examination. A total of 5,71,435 candidates out of 7,13,648 who appeared qualified in Paper 1 for primary level Classes 1 to 5 with a pass percentage of 80.07 percent. In Paper 2 for upper primary level Classes 6 to 8, 7,59,513 candidates out of 10,57,021 who appeared cleared the test with a pass percentage of 71.85 percent. Overall more than 13.30 lakh candidates have qualified. The result is available on the official website upessc.up.gov.in and also through DigiLocker. Candidates who have qualified will receive the UPTET eligibility certificate which is valid for lifetime. There is no physical test in this examination. The selection is based solely on the written test and candidates must secure the prescribed qualifying marks as per their category. Vacancy Details
UPTET is an eligibility test and does not have direct vacancies. Qualified candidates become eligible to apply for teaching posts in government schools of Uttar Pradesh through future recruitment notifications such as Super TET.

Selection Process
The UPTET examination consists of a written test only.
Paper 1 is for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 5. It has 150 multiple choice questions of one mark each covering Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Environmental Studies.
Paper 2 is for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 6 to 8. It has 150 multiple choice questions covering Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies.
There is no negative marking. The result is prepared using the normalisation process due to multiple shifts.
Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks are awarded the UPTET eligibility certificate which remains valid for lifetime.
