The Railway Recruitment Boards have released the provisional answer key and response sheets for the RRB Group D Computer Based Test held under CEN 09/2025. The CBT was conducted from 3 August 2026 to 25 August 2026 across multiple shifts for recruitment to 22195 Level 1 posts in Indian Railways. Candidates who appeared in the examination can now view their questions, recorded responses and the official answer keys on the respective regional RRB websites or the DigiALM portal. The answer key was made available from 7 September 2026. Candidates can raise objections against any question, option or answer till 15 September 2026. The recruitment is for various posts such as Track Maintainer, Pointsman, Assistant and Helper in different departments. Educational qualification required is Class 10 pass or ITI or National Apprenticeship Certificate. Age limit is 18 to 33 years as on 1 January 2026 with relaxations for reserved categories. Application fee was Rs 500 for general candidates with partial refund and Rs 250 for reserved and female candidates with full refund on appearing in the CBT. The Physical Efficiency Test is qualifying in nature. Only one chance is given for each event. PwBD candidates are exempted from PET but must clear the medical examination.
Selection Process
The selection process for RRB Group D under CEN 09/2025 consists of the following stages.
The first stage is the Computer Based Test. It contains 100 questions of 100 marks to be completed in 90 minutes. Subjects include General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. There is negative marking of one-third mark for each wrong answer.
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CBT performance are called for the Physical Efficiency Test. This stage is mandatory and qualifying.
Candidates who clear the PET appear for Document Verification. Original certificates of age, education, caste and other claims are verified.
The final stage is the Medical Examination. Candidates must meet the medical standards prescribed for the post. Final merit list is prepared on the basis of CBT marks subject to clearing PET, document verification and medical examination.
